  11. Can anyone tell me how to get a compaq presario to connect to an ISP using 
  12. trumpet winsock. We have tried unsuccessfully for days. We even used a few 
  13. external modems and they didn't work either. We know several people with
  14. compaq's and they are having the same problem.
  15. Compaq won't help without charging a $34.95 fee to talk to tech support, even
  16. though the machine is under warranty. They say they don't even know what
  17. type modem is in the machine. We have tried every init string we could
  18. get our hands on, nothing.
  19. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
